Leica S2 Sensor Corrosion
Leica S2 Sensor Corrosion. Has anybody had sensor corrosion on their s2/006? Other leica cameras such as the m cameras had sensor corrosion issues.
Basically, i was getting just about the same. These ccd sensors had some issues with sensor corrosion, and leica replaced them in a long term recall exercise. Both my leica m9 cameras had their sensors replaced in april 2015, long before leica camera ag went out and officially mentioned that the leica m9 sensors could suffer from corrosion of the coating on the sensor.
Other Leica Cameras Such As The M Cameras Had Sensor Corrosion Issues.
My god, all the best to your friend, no idea how this could happen (unless you stored it in your bathroom to keep dust away) could you please post what leica has to say once your friend knows?would be usefull! Leica Has Barely Acknowledged It And Unlike The M System There Doesn't Appear To Be The Numbers Necessary To Be A Big Pr Backlash.
If you have the right light in say a beach shot in barbados, or a well lit set in a studio, all you got to do is. The leica s type 007. If okay with the leica s' size & weight, the fuji gfx is definitely worth looking at as well.

Although color sensitivity is relatively high at 23.9 bits, it is in fact marginally lower. They knew, and they dealt with it. Leica s2 is a 38.0mp pro dslr camera with a medium format sized ccd sensor and leica l mount.

When i bought it, the m9 had about 10k frames on it, and had one of the original sensors vulnerable to corrosion. One thing to remember with the s2 is its large sensor. The corrosion is visible any time i stop down more than f/2, which is sometimes limiting.
